The initial request of the customer involved the resolution of the problem of having a back-up steam boiler to the existing one that had a producibility adequate to the needs and a high efficiency to reduce consumption.
Previously, the plant consisted of an old-generation, flame-reversing steam boiler, which, due to age limitations, required repairs that were too expensive to deal with. In addition, a relatively recent steam boiler with 3 t/h producibility at three-pass steam boiler.

THE SOLUTION
After careful analysis, ICI Caldaie proposed a GSX series boiler with a power of 2.5 t/h, lower than the one installed, equipped with a 1st stage economiser, for pre-heating of the feed water and an additional 2nd stage for water pre-heating of the water collection tank. To date the customer uses this generator as primary with considerable benefits on consumption and plant management costs.
