Remigio Lucchini founded ICI Caldaie in Campagnola di Zevio, in the province of Verona.
From artisanal ICI Caldaie it becomes a real industrial reality. In addition to the production of steel boilers, it is the second Italian producer of LPG tanks and is opening up to the first sales abroad.
To cope with the significant increase in production and sales capacity abroad, ICI Caldaie industrializes the production of wall-mounted boilers with Snella, the most compact for those times.
ICI Caldaie opens up to the world with the inauguration of the first direct branch in the United Kingdom.
First phase of industrialization of steam generators with increasingly efficient products (from artisanal steam generators to GX, Sixen etc.).
The first hypotheses are made on the future of boilers with research on the use of hydrogen. ICI Caldaie simultaneously opens to the Russian and Kazakh markets.
The R&D laboratory expands into three areas: testing of generator and burner prototypes and two areas dedicated to hydrogen (H2 production, energy production from H2).
ICI Caldaie begins to independently develop fuel treatment systems to produce H2 from methane (catalysts).
ICI Caldaie is financed for the first time by the European Union for a hydrogen project: H2OME (hydrogen cogenerator).
Thanks to the work to strengthen sales abroad, ICI Caldaie is able to export to 59 countries.
The first studies on the production of H2 are carried out with the use of new technologies different from those known in hydrogen research, i.e. production techniques using membrane reactors.
After opening up to the US market just two years earlier, ICI Caldaie opened a sales office in Singapore making the first sales in the area.
ICI Caldaie continues to innovate with the first activities in the Lean field by implementing transversal projects both in production and in offices.
Ecovapor is launched, an innovative system for steam production that merges boiler and burner into a single compact element. It is a project completely conceived and developed by ICI.
ICI Caldaie continues its evolution: it opens up to distribution in Vietnam and Guatemala and carries out the first investigations for the capture and possible use of CO2 in the direction of contributing to the decarbonisation process.
The sale of the first ICI systems begins on the European market including NEOX burners, the remote management system which has the function of constantly monitoring the operation of the burner within the heating unit.

A heart that has been beating towards the future for over 60 years.

It all started with a water heater, but soon, in its place, traditional domestic boilers arrived first, and then those for centralized use. Time, excellent results and our aspirations have led us to create systems of increasingly larger dimensions, up to the creation of boilers capable of producing energy
necessary for businesses. For them and with them we have refined our skills, designing progressively more complex systems.

Today our solutions are innovative, connected (therefore monitorable and adjustable even in real time) and continuously improveable, always evolving to allow every company to unleash its potential.

Today we could still say that we make boilers. The reality is that we want and can say much more.
